2. The AGM will be held on the final Thursday rehearsal of this term, 25th March. The rehearsal will start earlier as a result – at 6.30pm. Positions for the incoming Chorus committee will be allocated or elected.

3. If you’re interested in joining the committee for the forthcoming academic year, the job descriptions and sign-up sheet is in the corridor to the side of the Cosmo. Feel free to approach any of the current committee members with any questions you may have.

4. If you missed the registers at the beginning of the rehearsal, please register in G16 in the break.

5. Tickets will be on sale in the break. As a reminder, the Sunday matinee performance is a wonderful chance for those of you who have friends or relatives who wouldn’t normally be able to attend an evening performance.

6. Tickets are also available online, from Quaytickets.com, and from the Martin Harris Centre Box Office, 2-4pm Monday-Friday, or by post or ‘phone.

2. If there are any students who are interested in joining the committee next year, a sign-up sheet has been put up on the Music noticeboard, in the corridor beside the Cosmo. A list of job descriptions will be there by the next rehearsal. If you’ve any questions please do not hesitate to ask a current member of the committee.

3. The next Saturday rehearsal is in just over a week, with a cake sale and music sale. The rehearsal starts at 10, with the cake and music sale following at 1. We will provide tea and coffee. All proceeds go towards Chorus funds.

3. Those who missed the registers before the rehearsal started, please ensure you register yourself during the break in G16.

4. Due to issues outside of our control, concert tickets will not be on sale tonight. They will be available at the rehearsal next week (4th).

5. Concert tickets will also be available for purchase online, via Quaytickets and the Martin Harris Centre Box Office.

6. Our next Saturday rehearsal is on 13th March. Attendance is expected from all members. We will be having a cake and music sale after the rehearsal. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know other members of Chorus, eat some delicious cake, and buy some music. Please have a search at home to see if there is any music that you would like to donate for others to buy.

6. On 25th March, our last rehearsal of term, we will be having our AGM. Elections for the committee for next year will also take place. A sign-up sheet for nominations will be posted on the Music noticeboard by the MHC office. If you’re a student and are interested in joining the committee please sign up. Current committee members will be happy to answer any questions you may have about what is involved.

2. Your music is your responsibility – please write your name, in pencil, inside the cover. It is your responsibility to ensure that your copies are returned after the concert. We will be charging those people who do not return their scores.

3. We will be having our first Saturday rehearsal this weekend (30th) from 10am – 1pm in G16. Saturday rehearsals are an integral part of our rehearsal schedule and we expect to see you all there. Registers will be taken, as these rehearsals matter. Refreshments won’t be provided so please ensure you bring anything with you that you’ll need.

6. There is the opportunity to sing Christmas carols in Manchester Town Hall on Dec. 17th between 6 and 8pm. Further information will be sent in an email.

7. We would like to wish Christine a very happy birthday. She has been singing with us for 50 years, and turns 82 today.

2. Thanks to all those who came to the cake sale last Saturday – we raised £104 for the Chorus funds.

3. You should all have received an email regarding concert details. Another will be sent out before the next rehearsal.

4. The rehearsal on Thursday 3rd December is in the Whitworth Hall from 6.30pm. This is when we arrange the seating so it is vital that you arrive as early as possible, ideally from 6pm.

5. The Saturday rehearsal (5th December) is from 2pm in the Whitworth Hall. This rehearsal is compulsory, as it is the only chance to rehearse with the soloists.

6. Concert Dress is DJs or black suits for gentlemen; and white shirts and black trousers or skirt for ladies.

7. All members will receive an email regarding their names in the programme – all members MUST reply to this email to either confirm that the information is correct, or to make amendments. If we DO NOT receive a reply, we will assume that you are not singing in the concerts.

8. All members who registered are now able to sing in the performances.

10. Further to the email about Church Slavonic, Malcolm will be holding a ‘Church Slavonic Surgery’ in G16 in the break should you be interested.

11. Please remember to take posters and put them in visible places. Please also check back regularly to see that they haven’t been taken down or covered up by another poster.

12. As there is a string quartet concert taking place in the John Thaw Studio when we finish, please can you ensure that you leave the Martin Harris Centre quickly and as quietly as possible.

2. The next Saturday rehearsal is on November 14th, from 10am to 1pm.

3. There will be a chorus fundraising cake sale after the Saturday rehearsal. We hope to see those of you who came last time, and many more. Please bring along cakes, biscuits, and other baked goods. We will provide tea, coffee, squash etc.

4. Posters and flyers are now available for you to advertise the concerts – please take as many as you think you can use. We will be organising flyering shortly, but in the meantime, please bear in mind that it is illegal to flyer without a licence from Manchester City Council.

5. CDs will be on sale in the break, from Carmina Burana in Dec. 06 to Britten in May 09.

6. If you missed the registers because you were too early or arrived late, please find the membership secretaries in G16 and register with them.

2. As was mentioned last week, tickets for the December concerts are now on sale, priced £12, £8, £5. They are available from G16 in the rehearsal break, the Martin Harris Centre Box Office (boxoffice@manchester.ac.uk; 0161 275 8951; 2-4pm Monday – Friday) and from Quaytickets.com. Please encourage people to start buying – we don’t want to have the same panic as last December!

3. We now have some of the posters and flyers for the December concerts – please take as many as you feel you can put up in places where they will be visible and noticed. A4 posters will be available next week. We will be asking for volunteers to help flyer soon.
