Ad Solem is a student-run auditioned chamber choir of 24 singers. We open auditions every year for new members. The choir enjoys singing an eclectic range of music, regularly performing around the North West of England. Ad Solem have also been on tours including Madrid and Kraków. Recent performances include collaborations with the Hallé and an appearance on the BBC’s Songs of Praise.
The choir is directed by Robert Guy, alongside student conductors.
Ad Solem have rehearsed a variety of repertoire over the past year, including ‘Libera Me’ by Eleanor Ridley, a student at the University of Manchester, as well as ‘Locus Iste’ by Paul Mealor and ‘Lay a Garland’ by Robert Lucas Pearsall, recordings of which can be found down below.
